EXCLUSIVE: Elvis Depressedly – ‘Survivor’s Guilt’

So we’ve got something special lined up for what must be our millionth Mat Cothran-related post: one of three unreleased Elvis Depressedly tracks, to be played on college radio at some point. The song in question, ‘Survivor’s Guilt’, is a heartbreaking, all too short vocals + acoustic guitar piece, with Cothran’s voice having a pretty distinct, wavering Conor Oberst vibe to it. It’s every bit as emotional and gut-wrenching as we’ve come to expect of him and it saddens me that it will most likely not see proper release.
